I have been in and around aviation my whole life. This stemmed from my father's flying career. He flew for British Airways until his retirement in 1980. I flew from the age of 2, initially in the back of Dad’s Piper Tripacer. After many years flying as a passenger, I eventually switched to the pilots seat, achieving my PPL (in the UK) at the age of 19. Following Dad’s retirement, the family emigrated to Florida where I continued with aviation, eventually gaining my CPL in Tampa just after my 25th birthday. Marriage and children followed and flying came to a halt. I took a break before recapturing the passion and achieving my sport CFI license. I then started instructing on Sport Aircraft and now have over 1700 hours instructing. I then decided to get my full CFI. After completing my Instrument rating in 2021 I took my CFI-A check ride last year and I am currently working on my CFII.
Ultralight aircraft became my passion, after going up in one 4 years ago and realizing it was true flying. I now own a couple of 2 seat QuickSilver’s, which fall into the light sport category and I greatly enjoy introducing students to this amazing form of flight.
